Custom Manufactured Historic Windows by Westbrook Seattle

These windows were manufactured and installed by Westbrook for a Seattle historic home to match existing millwork. Making historic windows is what I would consider part of the millwork of any building, especially as part of the architectural component of historic homes. Windows are not much different than any other millwork project we custom make in our shop. They should be made to match seamlessly to historic design and also be made to historic specifications right down to mortice and tenon joinery. Otherwise the windows wont last another 100 years, or have a capacity to be repaired properly by a future crafts person. Historic and vintage window manufacturing is definitely a specialty, but at Westbrook it’s a big part of what we do. Along with building traditional storm sash, and working with all sorts of different historical sash, we also do the install at your home. Because we are a master craftsman millwork and carpentry service, many of our clients work with Westbrook for a variety of projects at the same time. In this case the windows were a part of a porch and stair project we custom built. So the windows here were a part of that project. Why look for different “specialty” contractors or suppliers, when you can have it all done working with an experienced master craftsman? Not all projects are a good fit but when they are it’s a far better value for the dollar spent, than being funneled into “specialty” trades that only do one thing, and then you trying to manage all that.

Westbrook is a good fit for those who want a quality service experience, and craftsmanship, so contact Daniel Westbrook and see if we can help you.
