Custom Cabinetry Built to Match Existing Kitchen

This custom cabinetry was built and installed to match the existing plywood kitchen cabinets. The original cabinets at some time had the doors replaced with 3/4″ plywood doors. These were a kind of 50’s update to the original and the customer wanted to match what they had. Although this is a more humble look compared to other custom cabinetry Ive built, it certainly wasn’t easy. For one thing the measurements needed to be precise because there wasn’t room for error. The reason is because the cabinets needed to fit from wall to wall, accommodate a zero clearance inset refrigerator, and the countertop needed to be exact to the stool. Not only that the ducting under the cabinet needed modification, and we wanted to keep the refrigerator handle as far away from the wall as possible for ease of reach. All this was accomplished through design work between Westbrook and the customer. When I build a project like this, the service I provide is working personally with the owner one on one. I also measure, build in the wood shop, procure hardware, and install at the customers home as an all in one experienced carpentry service. These were fun people to work with, like most of my clients. And as always you are welcome to contact Westbrook any time and visit the shop.

I always like to add a photo of a custom project moving through the shop. This is part of the service I provide in my communications with the client so they can see the progress and be a part of the process of craftsmanship!
