“I am a retired woodworker, 74 years old, who needed help with my craftsman historic double-hung, 6 sash dining room window. I called Daniel Westbrook, a master carpenter, to look at the condition of the window and see which parts needed to be replaced. As I suspected, the 100-year-old sill was in bad shape.
Daniel really knows his way around window restoration. He was able to quickly remove my entire window frame to take to his shop. There he milled out a precise copy of the old sill in new appropriate wood. He treated the remaining older window sections with preservative and reassembled the frame.

I liked the pictures he sent me of the work he was doing in his shop, and he kept me informed as to what his process was.

It was amazing to see him delicately slip the 8 foot by 5 foot frame in precisely the same place the old frame sat, within 1/32nd of an inch. He values craftmanship as much as I do.

He showed up on the days he said he would. He was very transparent with his billing process.

I am now able to handle the remainder of the window work in my much smaller shop, with the knowledge that Daniel gave me.
