This beautiful historic sunroom captures the artistic architecture and custom craftsmanship of the early 1920’s perfectly! In order to maintain the homes historic value the owner needed a master craftsman that can restore original french doors and custom make period wood double storm doors. Westbrook and the client were a good fit for working together. My craftsmanship specialties, from tooling to experience, are also a good fit for a detailed project like this. My custom woodworking millwork shop is used extensively with all my projects which allows for custom made components and period replication woodworking. I was able to save the original French doors, and rebuild parts and pieces to match. Including the inset panel stops that were custom milled to match with custom molder knives. Same for the glass bead. The storm doors were custom built by Westbrook in the shop as you can see, including pre-fitting the hardware, before installation. The painting was done by the owners painting contractor.
A special thanks to my friend master craftsman and owner of Annapurna Glass for making the custom leaded glass panels to match existing. His work is gorgeous! check out his website Annapurna Stain Glass
Thanks again to my clients. Looking forward to your historic casement windows and storms!
