Cabinet Customizing to an Existing Kitchen

Cabinet Customizing to an Existing Kitchen

In this kitchen the original cabinets form 1908 are still there. I believe the cabinet doors and drawer fronts were changed at some point, but all the boxes are original. The owners of this home wanted to preserve what they had, to make modifications, and add new cabinets to match existing. So making and installing custom cabinets and millwork to match originals is part of what Westbrook does. After taking the appropriate measurements of the space and going through the layout design with the owners, I was then able to begin cabinet work in the shop. As you can see from some of the photos this included, drawers, cabinet boxes, face frames, custom legs for the refrigerator cabinet, doors and appliance face paneling. Also the custom hood with corbels to house the fan and ducting became a focal point, with the owner and I working together to flush out the exact design.
