Historic Home Exterior Millwork Period Replication
The owner of this beautiful historic home in Queen Anne Seattle told me that he woke up in the middle of the night, in a cold sweat! He wondered if he would ever be able to find anyone that he could trust to replicate all the exterior millwork of his historic home. There is a much larger story here that could be told, but as it was, he did find Westbrook and we were the perfect fit to replicate the exterior.
This project consisted of architectural shingle siding, soffits, frieze and bed molding, window trim, crown and cap, and more. We also replicated the sawtooth fascia in the shop and installed it in the field with the boxed-in soffits. All wood used was period; vertical grain fir and the shingles were fully sanded kiln dried square cut, and pre-primed on all sides before installation.
This project got so much attention that we were published in the Master Builders Magazine and featured on the front cover! It’s been an honor to be a part of this homes rich history!
