Historic Home Porch & Window Restoration
This project was located in a beautiful Stanwood WA farmland setting on an original 1920’s farmhouse. The side porch windows, walls, door, and some structure really needed to be rebuilt or repaired in some way. The project also had a couple of south facing double hung window sash removal and restoration as well as a re-rope when reinstalling. The porch walls consisted of reframing and installation of bead board and a new custom milled sill. The posts were wrapped in place as an integral part of the window jambs and interface with the new sill. A new door was installed and the existing screen door reinstalled. All windows and millwork were done in the shop and all material was historically accurate VG Fir.
A peaceful project with a stellar farmland view!
