Historic Front Door Millwork Replication
This Historic home desperately needed the wood front door system replaced but the owner wanted it to maintain the historical accuracy of the original look. At the end of the project he wrote a review of my work and said he looked for 10 years to find someone who was able to match what he had.
This project consisted of taking careful measurements in order to make a new wood door slab and jamb. It needed to fit exactly with the historic window sash, bottom recessed panels, as well as the interior and exterior millwork. Much of that rebuilding was done in the shop after carefully extracting all the components in a way that allowed me to replicate what was needed and keep what was in good shape. After the shop work everything was installed at the home with an interlock weather stripping system, new locking hardware, and final painting.
Wonderful clients to work with!
